Commuter Rail has a Name |Its not GATOR|

SunRail is the name selected by The Central Florida Commuter Rail Commission for the new "Commuter Rail Project".

 

The Commuter Rail spans over 61.5 miles.

 

The $650 million rail project will link Orange, Seminole, Volusia and Osceola counties.  The Project should be operational in 2011.

 

A few names that didn’t make the cut:

 

GATOR (Greater Area Transit Orlando Rail)

FAT (Florida Alternative Train)

FAST (Florida Area Smart Transit)

O'BART (Orange Blossom Area Rapid Transit)
